IS STARBUCKS, DUNKIN' DONUTS OPEN ON MEMORIAL DAY 2020? COFFEE SHOPS HOURS

IS STARBUCKS, DUNKIN' DONUTS OPEN ON MEMORIAL DAY 2020? COFFEE SHOPS HOURS
Memorial Day this year falls on May 25. The federal holiday, observed every year on the last Monday of May, honors all those who lost their lives while serving in the U.S. Armed Forces.
This year's holiday comes amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Various food and drink venues are offering modified services in view of the precautionary guidelines in place since the novel coronavirus outbreak. Most venues are offering only drive-thru, curbside pick-up and take-out services.
Here we look at the opening hours on Memorial Day 2020 for some popular coffee chains.
From around mid-March, many Starbucks branches have been offering drive-thru services. Earlier this month, Starbucks began reopening some shops that have been closed due to the outbreak. A selection of its reopened locations are now offering expanded pick-up, drive-thru and delivery order options.
"At select locations where social distancing can be maintained, customers can place an order in the café and take their order to-go or use the 'order ahead' feature in the Starbucks app to pick it up at the counter," the company said in a statement.
"In most cases, customers who use the app can pick up their order from a barista at the door without entering the café, the drive-thru, or in cases where social distancing can be implemented, pick up may be available at a counter in a store," the statement said.
Most Starbucks shops are open on Memorial Day but some may be on a reduced hours. Check with your local branch for exact hours.

"Most Dunkin' stores across the country remain open and have enhanced preventative health and safety measures in place. In an ongoing effort to help keep its guests and restaurant employees safe, Dunkin' is currently limiting service to drive-thru, carry-out, and curbside pick-up at select locations, in addition to delivery at participating locations with Uber Eats, Grubhub, and other providers. Guests can order and pay contactless on the Dunkin' App for a quick, grab-and-go experience," the company said in a statement this month.
Earlier this month, Dunkin' Donuts expanded its delivery options in a new partnership with Uber Eats.
"Dunkin' delivery with Uber Eats is currently available at select stores across eight states, including California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Massachusetts, North Carolina, Ohio, and South Carolina," the company said in the statement.

Panera Bread

On Monday, Panera Bread launched its new Panera Curbside service with free Wi-Fi extended beyond the walls of its branches.
The new "geofence-enabled service allows guests to have their meals delivered straight to their cars.
"With the addition of geofencing, for those who opt-in, the bakery-cafe will be notified automatically when the guest arrives—creating an easy, frictionless way to get your freshly-prepared Panera favorites," the company said in a statement.
"Now through May 31, Panera invites guests to try Panera Curbside with $5 off any $20 order," the statement said.
Panera Bread is open on Memorial Day but hours may vary. Contact your local store via details from the Panera website to confirm exact times.

Caribou Coffee

Caribou Coffee is open on Memorial Day and is "expanding our pick up options to promote distance," the company states on its website.
"We have implemented new safety practices to encourage guest and team member social distancing and contactless interactions while continuing to ensure high levels of sanitization, cleanliness and overall team member safety.
"Contactless payment through the Caribou app is the best way to place your Caribou order. Just select how you're visiting us: Drive-Thru, Curbside or Walk-in," the company notes.
Store hours will vary according to location. Find your local venue at the Caribou Coffee website to confirm exact hours.

Au Bon Pain

Au Bon Pain, the bakery franchise, has temporarily closed its branches due to the ongoing outbreak.
"With COVID-19's far reaching and evolving impact, to protect our communities, teams and customers, we have made the very difficult decision to temporarily close select Au Bon Pain cafes (see current list below)," the chief executive officer of Au Bon Pain, Sue Morelli, said in a statement last month.
"We will reevaluate these café closures and will reopen when we feel it is prudent to do so. We will keep you updated as changes occur. We look forward to welcoming you back as soon as we can," Morelli added.
