Wildlife officials share video of overpass created just for animals over busy interstate

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (SBG) — The Utah Division of Wildlife Resources shared a video of an overpass created just for animals over a busy interstate that they say is working to keep both animals and motorists sae"As you can see, the 2nd year of this overpass has been successful at helping wildlife safely migrate over busy Interstate 80 and helping motorists be much safer as well. Please keep off of this overpass," the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources wrote on Facebook.

In the video, bears, moose, deer, and many other wild animals are seen using the overpass at different times throughout the year.

The overpass, which is the largest of its kind in Utah, was completed in 2018 and runs over Interstate 80.

According to the Smithsonian Magazine, fencing that runs for three-and-a-half miles leads wildlife to the overpass
