Tulsa's Cancer Treatment Centers Of America Hospital To Close

Tulsa's Cancer Treatment Centers Of America Hospital To Close

The Cancer Treatment Center of America hospital in Tulsa announced Wednesday it will permanently close by June 1st.

"Despite working tirelessly to overcome significant patient access and insurance limitations that inexplicably restrict patient care options and prevent patient choice in this market, CTCA Tulsa will close operations as of June 1, 2021," the hospital said in a news release.

“CTCA has been proud to serve the community and cancer patients from our location in Tulsa, Oklahoma, over the past 30 years,” said Dana Haynie, President of CTCA Tulsa, in a statement. “Our top priorities during this transition will be to provide a seamless transition of our patients’ care and ensure our 400 employees are provided with resources and support as they navigate this difficult time as well.”

CTCA has operated in Tulsa since 1990. Haynie told the Tulsa World that they will work to assist patients in finding continuing treatment at an out-of-state CTCA facility or with local providers.
