Swedish Conspiracy Theorist Greta Thunberg Falls for Pizza Hoax – Takes Another Jab at Andrew Tate After his Arrest in Romania

Swedish Conspiracy Theorist Greta Thunberg Falls for Pizza Hoax – Takes Another Jab at Andrew Tate After his Arrest in Romania

Social media influencer Andrew Tate and his brother were apprehended by law enforcement officials in Romania on Thursday and face charges related to sex-trafficking allegations.

However, The News.com claimed that Romanian authorities had confirmed allegations that Andrew Tate was involved in money laundering.

The outlet added:

The outlet shared a tweet that read: “BREAKING: Romanian officials have confirmed that Andrew Tate wasn’t arrested on human trafficking charges, however he is being questioned for money laundering.”

A follow up tweet also claims that Tristan has already been released, while Andrew remains in police custody and is being investigated further.

However, it is pertinent to mention that as per the Directorate for Investigating Organized Crime and Terrorism (DIICOT), charges against Andrew Tate include organized crime, exploiting women by forcing them to create p*rnographic content, and rape.

Tates arrest comes hours after the professional kickboxer ignited controversy by taunting environmental activist Greta Thunberg on Twitter.

“Hello @GretaThunberg. I have 33 cars,” Tate wrote, tagging the 19-year-old Swedish activist on Twitter. “This is just the start.

“Please provide your email address so I can send a complete list of my car collection and their respective enormous emissions.”

“Yes, please do enlighten me. email me at smalld**kenergy@getalife.com,” Thunberg shot back.

Tate hit back at Thunberg with a two-minute video warning she is “programmed” and a “slave of the matrix.”

On Friday morning Andrew Tate posted his first tweet since he was detained on Thursday.

“The Matrix sent their agents.”

He also retweeted Elon Musk’s post about Matrix.

Tate said in one of his interviews that ‘his arrest was next on the table.’

On Friday, Greta Thunberg continued to attack Andrew Tate after his detention in Romania.

“This is what happens when you don’t recycle your pizza boxes,” the conspiracy theorist said.

The tweet appears after Romanian police allegedly used Tate’s recent video featuring a pizza from a Romanian pizza chain, Jerry’s Pizza, confirming he was in the country.

But this was an internet hoax.

According to Huffington Post:

Some people had speculated that officials had been tipped off to Tate’s whereabouts by a pizza box seen in a video he made about teen climate activist Greta Thunberg. But DIICOT, Romania’s agency targeting organized crime, told The Associated Press that that wasn’t the case.

“Funny, but no,” DIICOT spokesperson Ramona Bolla told the AP.

Tate and his brother Tristan Tate, both British-U.S. citizens, were detained with two other people on Thursday. The four face charges of human trafficking, rape and being part of an organized crime group…

… A viral theory emerged that the pizza boxes, which bore the name of Romanian chain Jerry’s Pizza, alerted authorities that he was in the country. That theory appears to have originated with a story from Romanian news outlet Gândul, which cited anonymous sources who said authorities learned via social media posts that the Tate brothers were together in Romania.

However, the Gândul story did not specifically mention the pizza box video, which was far from the only recent post indicating Tate was in the country.
